The Development Planning Coordinator will be responsible for working with the Leadership Team for assigned business lines to design and coordinate the strategic initiatives. Assesses impacts to Operation's organization; processes and works with Department Management in recommending enhancements and facilitating changes.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Full responsibility and management of day-to-day project requirements from the Operations team including ensuring resource availability, following up on open items and facilitating coordination with other departments as needed.
  
• Responsible for the creation and project implementation the group's development plans and assist in the design of an effective mechanism to track and forecast growth of the business line portfolio.
  
• Develop/update a communication/technology plan so that the markets can communicate visually, attend all team meetings, and maintain intimate knowledge of the policy and procedures relating to the business line.
  
• Develop processes and procedures for the group; coordinate and implement the group's business plans, including timelines and implementation guides.
  
• Provide thought leadership on business process excellence and continuous improvement.
  
• Assist in creating a culture of continuous improvement.
  
• Implement programs, processes and procedures departmentally.
  
• Assess the impact of changes on existing organization and business processes to ensure all project interdependencies are identified.
  
• Review and approve all group-level reports.
  
• Responsible for the accuracy of report information before submission to Valley Corporate Board.
  
• Prepares more complex reports for managements presentation to Valley Corporate Board of Directors as well as Executive Management progress reports the lending business line.
  
• Responsible for coordinating and reporting Incentive Plan data for the group.
  
• Assist in recruiting process for key positions within the assigned business line.
  
• Support management in facilitating the implementation of change initiatives.
  
• Coordinate with ISD to ensure that Operations requirements are documented and incorporated into project deliverables.
  
• Assist management in the capture, analysis and presentation of data to support business making decisions.
  
• Manage the Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery plan for assigned lending business line.
  
• Coordination creation of collateral materials with the Marketing Department. Schedule and participate in outreach events within the market to promote VNB.
  
• Coordinate training programs in collaboration with Learning Development including collateral training materials.
  
• Respond to requests for department-wide information and/or tasks from other areas of the bank.
  
• May have direct management of administrative staff and oversight of day-to-day activities performed depending on the needs of the business unit.

  • Must be able to thrive under pressure, multi-task and manage competing priorities.
    
    Required Education:
    
    
    • High School diploma or GED.
      
    • Minimum of 5 years' experience in retail banking or lending analysis.
      
    • Bachelor's Degree in Business with minimum years of experience preferred.
