Position: Tax Accountant - ENTRY LEVELLocation: Chester, NYType: Contract to Hire (Onsite)Pay Rate: $20-$21/hrSummary:Our client, a leading telecommunications company in Chester, NY, is seeking a skilled Tax Accountant for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This role offers the potential for permanent placement if there is a mutual fit. The successful candidate will be required to work onsite and will be responsible for handling a range of tax-related duties, including property tax returns, sales tax returns, and audits.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and file Property Tax Returns.Reconcile Tax Assessments with Tax Invoices and process payments.Prepare Monthly and Quarterly Accruals.Prepare Monthly Sales Tax Returns.Assist in the payment of Property Tax bills.Support audits related to Sales and Property taxes.Communicate with county and state tax authorities via phone.Contribute to additional departmental projects as needed.Prepare Monthly 911 Returns.Position Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.0-3 years of experience in Tax Accounting.Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.Knowledge of Microsoft Access.Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a high-volume environment.Strong attention to detail and ability to meet compliance deadlines.Excellent communication skills.If this is a role that interests you and you'd like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
