Job Description Title: Behavioral Health Medical Biller with
Credentialing Experience Company: Safe Meadow Health Center
Location: Southwest Philadelphia (On site) About the Role We’re
seeking a reliable and detail-driven medical biller with
credentialing experience to support our behavioral health practice.
This person will work in tandem with our full external billing team
and focus on accounts receivables and quality assurance. This
person will manage billing, credentialing, and authorization
processes to ensure clean claims, timely payments, and excellent
patient support. Key Responsibilities Submit, track, and follow up
on insurance claims (commercial Medicaid). Review denials and
complete appeals, corrections, and resubmissions. Maintain active
contracts and provider credentials with all payers. Monitor
expiration dates and manage all re-credentialing and renewals.
Verify patient eligibility and secure prior authorizations.
Reconcile EOBs/ERAs, payments, and aging reports. Communicate
proactively with the clinical team about billing requirements.
Maintain accurate records and create simple reporting dashboards.
Qualifications 5 years of medical billing experience (behavioral
health preferred). Strong understanding of payer rules,
authorizations, and denial codes. Experience with credentialing and
contract maintenance. Ability to identify issues early and
implement solutions. Strong communication, organization, and
follow-through. Candidates must pass a criminal background check.
