Principle Duties and Responsibilities * Laboratory operations project management * Point of contact onsite for execution of all laboratory-based projects * Manage relationships with 3rd party contractors that support laboratory operations * Oversee all onsite 3rd party work that takes place within the laboratory * General laboratory upkeep * Manage daily laboratory glassware cleaning process, including collection, loading, and running dishwasher, emptying, and restocking glassware * Manage relationship with cleaning service to ensure floors, windows and blinds are cleaned regularly and maintained based manufacturers recommendations * Chemical Inventory Management * Setup and manage chemical inventory process using 3rd party software package * Complete annual chemical inventory audit * Manage process for moving 55-gallon drums between offsite warehouse and onsite for use * PPE Management * Coordinate 3rd party vendor for rags and lab coat cleaning * Manage PPE inventory onsite gloves and safety glasses * Manage general laboratory consumable inventory * Ensure required items are in stock and do regular inventory counts * Shipping Support * Managing relationship with FedEx * Hands on involvement with shipping and receiving process daily * Laboratory Equipment * Laboratory infrastructure equipment management - PM's and maintenance, scheduling, and day of oversite * Equipment calibrations - Scheduling and Supervision of onsite work * Coordinate on site scheduling, planning, implementation, documentation, and follow-up of all tasks required for a building-based lab maintenance. This includes on site vendor escorting and coordination of equipment calibration and repair send out. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE * Associates degree or combined technical training * Previous experience in a regulated Lab environment is preferred KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES * Ability to perform all work using the proper personnel protective equipment (PPE). * Safely operate in strict accordance with all applicable government and regulatory requirements, ability to perform all applicable safety policies, procedures, and practices. * Demonstrate and enforce safety rules and behaviors. * Identify, enforce, and assess safety hazards and risks. * Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communications skills required. * Demonstrate ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and complete tasks in a timely, accurate, and compliant manner with minimal supervision. Ability to work in a fast-paced setting either collaboratively or individually to achieve goals. * Have necessary skills to communicate with FM&E department representatives, and all internal and external customers. * Coordinate proper safety permitting and provides control of shutdowns, startups, and building services in support of building projects. * Must have working knowledge of computer applications, including Word and Excel and maintain intermediate to high computer skills necessary to access CMMS work order system, update equipment history, and access parts/material inventory management system. * Communicate with and coordinate with outside service vendors and ensure that all relevant safety and procedural site SOPs are followed while completing specified services. * Maintain standard workflow process and ensure Preventive Maintenance services are completed. * Assist site Facility Management team with emergency situations (e.g., fire alarms, chemical spills, hazardous conditions) and take appropriate actions. * All other duties and tasks assigned. PHYSICAL WORK ABILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS Must be able to perform required job functions while operating the equipment required safely and compliantly for this position. This includes: * Lifting a maximum of 50 lbs. * Perform tasks using fine motor skills * Performing tasks repetitively * Standing for extended periods of time * Frequent walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, stooping * Working/extending arms overhead * Using ladders up to 30 ft and working from heights. * Climbing a ladder with a 300-lb weight limit while carrying a tool bag weighing approximately 20 lbs.
