Senior Test Engineer - ATE/EE
Multiple Openings
100% Onsite, Contract 6-12+ months 40 hours weekly

Overview:
Client seeks an Electrical Engineer to support ATE development in
the Power & Control Actuation Systems (PAS) / Space / Marine Lines
of Business. Applicant should have a strong background in
Electrical Engineering, and possess a demonstrated ability in
designing, developing, integrating, and deploying Special
(Peculiar) Test Equipment (ATE / STE). Power Distribution, Motor
Controls, and Actuation Device interfaces will be the prime
applications of the subject ATE. Test Equipment Documentation and
Reporting will also require high competencies in Automated Test
Equipment practices and user interfaces. A strong emphasis on team
cohesion is necessary.
Essential or Primary / Key Responsibilities:
Technical writing of Test Procedures, as well as Reports and
Presentations are the primary responsibilities of this position.
These are typically in support of DVT testing, Qual testing, ATP
testing, and ESS testing, as well as providing formal Review
packages for TE Gate events (TE SRR, TE CDR, TE Validation). The
incumbent will also work closely with the new product development
team for the Prime Mission Equipment while generating the
operational procedures and reports.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 15 years of formal ATE development experience, along
with a high level of expertise in the ATE specialty domain is
required. Subject areas of demonstrated ability include Test
Station, ITA, Cable and Interconnect Diagram design, Signal Flow
diagrams, Equipment selection, End-Item Integration, Failure
Analysis/Debug, Design Review preparation, Technical Procedure
writing, Estimation, and Technical presentation
package/documentation development.
Strong Technical Documentation writing is the most significant
qualification desired for this position, as it will be the primary
responsibility of the position.
Additionally, technical ATE knowledge, with respect to manual and
automated control of the following sample instrumentation is a
must:
Hardware Support: Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, Power
Meters/Analyzers, Function Generators, Data Acquisition and Control
Systems, DMMs, High Voltage P/Ss, Analog I/O, Digital I/O,
Interface Bus Protocol Support: IEEE-488, I2C, SPI, USB,
RS-485/422/232, Serial, JTAG
Software Support: Word/Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
Bachelor's degree in EE w/ 15 Years of Test Equipment development
experience
Must be a US Citizen

Work Environment:
The primary work environment will be the client lab/office area,
with occasional travel to one of the lab facilities that provide
outsource capability for client Qualification events.
