Controls and Autonomy team is currently seeking highly motivated

technological breakthroughs. The team’s technical areas of emphasis
include Fly-By-Wire Flight Control Systems, Guidance/Navigation &
Control (GNC), Flight Test, Autonomy, Aviation Robotics,
Perception, AI, and Motion Planning. THE WORK In this position the
Engineer will be responsible for the design, analysis,
optimization, lab testing and system level integration of software
and firmware. Perform the development, review, integration, and
test of software and firmware to be deployed on Unmanned Aircraft
Systems (UAS), including navigation, control systems,
communications, perception, and autonomous capabilities.
Responsibilities may include the design, and support testing of
embedded software in a lab facility, including integration with
peripheral equipment including motor controllers, power regulation
systems, battery control, and sensors. Please Note: US citizenship
required as most programs and projects assigned are ITAR
restricted. WHO YOU ARE You have the ability to rapidly develop
embedded software and firmware and transition them to flight test.
You can collaborate with other researchers and engineers across the
autonomy and flight controls team. You can support various programs
to develop autonomy including software development, test, system
integration and flight tests. The candidate shall have strong
coding skills in C/C++, Python, and MATLAB. This position is based

degree in one of the following disciplines: Computer Science,
Computer Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Electrical Engineering
• 4 or more years of software engineer experience • Experience with
embedded software programming and hands-on expertise of programming
languages such as C, C++ and Python • Experience with modern
software engineering tools and development frameworks (Git, CMake,
gtest, or others) • Experience with software architecture and
design • Experience with state machines, decision trees and
behavioral planning Desired skills • Experience with inter
communication protocols (i.e. TCP/IP, UDP, CAN bus, serial, ARINC
429) • Experience developing and debugging real-time embedded
software and firmware (i.e. gdb) • Experience with GPU
implementation • Experience with FPGA implementation • Experience
in designing fault tolerant systems • Experience with the Linux
operating system • Experience with embedded graphical rendering
environments (i.e. QT, OpenGL, LVL) • Experience with Machine
Learning applications in an embedded environment • Experience

Ability to work remotely Part-time Remote Telework: The employee
selected for this position will work part of their work schedule
remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed
Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed
during the hiring process. Work Schedule Information Lockheed
Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide
additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from
standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be
condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with
additional time away from the office and are in addition to our
Paid Time off benefits. Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for
this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding
most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois,
Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington
DC is $108,800 - $191,820. For states not referenced above, the
salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final
work location. Please note that the salary information is a general
guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not
limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's
work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market
and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits

to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for

incentive plan eligible. Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for
this position in most major metropolitan areas in California,
Massachusetts, and New York is $125,100 - $216,890. For states not
referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect
