We are committed to our mission to improve lives because, every day, we witness the enormous impact of our efforts on the world around us.What you do Matters!!!Under the direction of the Business Manager and the Marketing Manager of Omniseal Solutions Energy cluster, the Market Development Manager (MDM) will coordinate sales & marketing activities related to the development of our business toward new customers and applications in Alternative Energies. The MDMs role combines a high level perspective strategic marketing work at a global scope, together with a field business development activity to approach and initiate sales with North American customers.As part of the strategic marketing side of his/her role, the MDM will explore, assess, and develop new business opportunities with customers (large companies and start-ups) that are seeking to disrupt the energy industry by actively developing new solutions to address the worlds energy & sustainability challenges. The incumbent will analyze & monitor emerging alternative energy players and technologies, identify opportunities for Omniseal Solutions to grow, and closely work with the technical leadership team and the operations team to contribute developing new offerings tailored to this market. He/she will in addition provide support to the sales organizations in Europe and Asia to direct them toward the identified opportunities. Also, the incumbent will actively support marketing communications efforts toward the Alternative Energy market.In North America, he/she will be directly responsible for opening doors and developing sales with all Alternative Energy customers, and especially from the Hydrogen industry. He/she will collect all field information (Voice of Customer, new market needs and trends, competitive and intelligence information), participate in trade shows, and work with manufacturing operations to provide accurate and timely information regarding customer demand to support sales and service objectives. He/she will monitor customers satisfaction and propose scenarios to improve customer intimacy and level of service. He/she will strive to meet the sales objectives of the particular accounts under their responsibility.Required QualificationsMarket Research

  • Perform exploratory market studies on emerging alternative energy technologies to analyze driving trends, potential of disruption, key players, market needs.
  • Describe the main applications and identify technical needs from the key players that would lead to new significant business opportunities for our business.
  • Extract strategic recommendations based on the attractiveness of technologies and applicationsDevelopment of Value Proposition
    • Work closely with business and research teams to understand our core competencies and use this knowledge as a starting step when looking at potential new applications / markets.
    • In collaboration with our Research and Development and business teams, identify new applications, material platforms and /or technologies which could represent relevant new business or market opportunities.
    • Develop and quantify value-creating scenarios to capture new business opportunities
    • Make synthetic recommendations and propose pragmatic solutions to management based on market and technology assessments.Pricing
      • Keep abreast of market prices and recommend pricing for Food & Beverage product lines.
      • Follow Large Value Opportunities and recommend adequate pricing.
      • Monitor profitability of Food & Beverage product lines and discuss opportunities with Business ManagerSales & Business Development (North American responsibilities only)
        • Develop business with new prospective customers identified from the strategic marketing work
        • Collect all field information (Voice of Customer, new market needs and trends, competitive and intelligence information)
        • Attend and represent corporation at relevant trade shows
        • Identify, project manage, and close large value opportunities (LVOs)
        • Sales Planning, use of CRM, reporting and other administrative tasks Sales Reporting & Communications
        • Initiate and Negotiate applicable customer contracts
