The Manager of Commercial Loans Operations will lead, supervise and direct all daily servicing activities for Commercial Loans originated by Commercial Lending teams overseeing a staff of 11 FTE's responsible for the daily operations and loan servicing for close to $23 BN in loan outstandings. Responsible for interfacing with Lending Officers/Senior Management to work and resolve any and all loan-related customer service issues professionally handling ad-hoc "crisis-type" customer situations.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Manage subordinates responsible for the day-to-day operations of loan servicing, post-closing review, insurance and escrow, and information systems and reporting as it relates to the Bank's commercial C & I and CRE loan portfolios.
* Ensure portfolio is serviced properly and efficiently through evaluation of current staffing levels, automation of processes, software and equipment needs, etc.
* Analyze department procedures and recommend automation or streamline workflow as agreed upon with management Determine solutions based on cost efficiencies of process improvements.
* Develop departmental operating procedures that are consistent with regulatory requirements, bank policies, and strategic objectives. Implement all operational policies and procedures for servicing departments.
* Approve performance reviews and compensation requests for the department. Approve hires, disciplinary actions and ensure that staff is trained and developed. Develop subordinate managers to achieve development goals through mentoring, job enrichment and cross training.
* Serve as point person for Audits, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery. Provide data/ reports/ on-site support as requested to Senior Management for OCC, State & Federal agency audits.
* Work on testing and implementing new system implementations/conversions.

Required Skills:

* Extensive knowledge of the commercial lending business, credit and lending terminology, bank regulatory requirements, and credit risk management.
* Knowledgeable/experienced with at least one major loan processing system, preferably with syndications capabilities.
* Extensive understanding of VNB's core banking software (i.e. FIS Miser) highly preferred.
* Strong inter-personal skills to facilitate building positive working relationships, at all levels within the Bank.
* Strong supervisory and managerial skills.
* Ability to handle multiple complex projects simultaneously.
* Ability to delegate assignments and deal successfully with ad-hoc "crisis-type" situations.

Required Experience:

* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or a related field and a minimum of 7 year's Banking experience in Commercial Lending or Commercial Loan Operations.
