www.balchem.comPOSITION SUMMARY:Provides leadership and strategic
planning for global Maintenance and Reliability work processes,
centered around reducing downtime and improving quality and
efficiency of company assets. Responsibilities include developing,
implementing, and sustaining world-class Maintenance work
strategies and processes, training site personnel on the processes,
and implementing projects as necessary. This position is
responsible for the creation of standard Key Performance Indicators
for maintenance and reliability effectiveness and reporting out as
necessary.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Follows and enforces all safety
policies and procedures including use of safety equipment (PPE) and
equipment safeguards; Works to advance and promote the safety
culture of the CompanyEnsures maintenance is performed in
compliance with EHS&S and PSM requirements including Management
of Change documentation and Mechanical Integrity documented
inspections; develops systems as necessary to document
complianceLeads the Company in development and implementation of
industry standard reliability practices, including, but not limited
to: selection and setup of site CMMS systems, development of
preventative and predictive maintenance programs, equipment
criticality analyses, spare parts strategies, and training of site
maintenance personnelEstablishes metrics to monitor reliability and
efficiency performance (e.g. OEE, % unplanned downtime, mean-time
between failures, PM compliance, etc)Develops strategies to improve
maintenance costs by reducing break/fix, unplanned or repeat
failures, and otherwise inefficient use of Company maintenance
resourcesDevelops requirements for maintenance technician
performance. Creates strategies for technical training of and/or
selective hiring of maintenance personnel to ensure that skill sets
required for effective facility maintenance are attainedDevelops
and implements standard documentation procedures as
applicableSelects, manages and works jointly with engineering or
construction personnel in executing capital projects as
requiredSubmits periodic budget and status reports on projects
under his or her controlProvides technical support to production,
maintenance, and other technical personnel as
requiredREQUIREMENTS:A degree in mechanical engineering or similar
field is preferredA minimum of 10 years of experience including
plant operations, equipment maintenance, with a track history of
developing and implementation of reliability programs across
multiple sites in chemical industries.Minimum of 5 years in a
leadership role, responsible for developing and implementing
strategies and standardsDetailed knowledge of standard maintenance
practices, process design, equipment repair, mechanical design,
construction methods and their practical applicationPrevious
experience implementing Reliability Centered or Total Productive
Maintenance programs is requiredExcelling in cross functional team
environment. Excellent leadership skills, particularly being able
to influence others outside of direct reportsRequires strong verbal
and written communication skills, as well as effective presentation
skills to be able to communicate effectively and professionally
