Cardiovascular Technologist Location: White Plains, NY Agency: Cynet Health Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Start Date: ASAP About the Position Shift: Monday - Friday, Weekends: 8 AM - 4 PM Description: Conducts color flow Doppler and stress echocardiograms. Conducts transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE) and other non-invasive procedures such as EKG and EEG. Performs duties as assigned. Conducts color flow Doppler echos following established protocols. Conducts stress echos according to established protocols. Assists in the TEE procedure. Submits echocardiograms of the highest quality within the appropriate time frame. Identifies and conducts echos as needed. Conducts other non-invasive testing independently, including EKG and Holter monitors. Proficient in the use of all medical equipment, including EKG and EEG machines. Proficient in the use of office equipment, such as copiers, fax machines, and computers. Recognizes and reports equipment malfunctions. Maintains safety standards and follows infection control guidelines at all times. Performs accurate and thorough clerical tasks, including making appointments and entering daily charges into the computer and logbook. Participates in performance improvement initiatives. Demonstrates effective communication with all team members. Conducts additional non-invasive procedures as needed. Recognizes abnormal echo findings and communicates life-threatening situations to appropriate personnel. Ability to interact with patients across all age groups, from neonates to geriatrics. Education, Training, Licensure, and Experience Requirements: Graduate from an accredited cardiovascular ultrasound program. Registered cardiac ultrasound technologist or eligible for ARDMS registry. Two years of experience conducting echocardiograms. Experience in other non-invasive procedures. Successful completion of departmental orientation program. Interpersonal Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Ability to communicate clearly with patients and their families. Ability to interact well with physicians, staff, and all employees. Demonstrates composure under stress. Essential Physical Requirements: Capable of pushing the echo machine and other equipment. Manual dexterity and hand coordination are required. Physically able to bend, stretch, and reach for filing tasks. Requirements Required for Onboarding BLS Skills Checklist Specialty Exam
