Job Description Job Description Program Specialist FULL TIME
Bethlehem, PA The Program Specialist of Lifesharing is responsible
for creating an empowering and supportive environment for
individuals with IDD or Autism, ensuring high-quality program
delivery, regulatory compliance, and effective coordination of
services. The role supports Lifesharing Providers and individuals
in achieving their goals through person-centered practices in
alignment with Everyday Lives. Responsibilities: Create an
environment that empowers individuals with IDD or Autism through
skill development and coordination of resources, in accordance with
Everyday Lives and Person-Centered Practices. Oversee the quality
of programmatic plans, ensuring individuals’ health and safety are
upheld in accordance with each ISP. Ensure identified services,
goals, and outcomes are accurately documented, adhering to PA
Chapter 6100 regulations. Attend and actively participate in all
team meetings. Represent the program professionally, collaborating
with Supports Coordination Organizations, Administrative Entities,
the Office of Developmental Programs, and other ancillary services.
Organize and maintain individual files in accordance with PA
Chapter 6500 regulations and program requirements. Complete
individual assessments, SEEPs, quarterlies, and other required
documentation within regulatory standards. Assist and prepare new
Lifesharing Providers for self-licensing assessments. Provide and
conduct applicable trainings for Lifesharing families and direct
care professionals. Conduct site visits monthly or as needed.
Maintain a minimum of 24 hours of professional and service-related
trainings per training year. Participate in supervision and
professional development plans with program management. Serve as
the incident management point person for the program within EIM.
Participate in a regular on-call rotation with other team members.
Perform other duties as assigned. Job Qualifications: Strong
working knowledge of DPW Chapters 6500 and 6100 Regulations. Strong
professional, organizational, and leadership skills. Ability to
work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent verbal and
written communication skills. Ability to support and implement
RHD’s values and the philosophy of Lifesharing. Ability to engage
individuals, Lifesharing providers, and Direct Support
Professionals in effective, therapeutic, and healthy interactions.
Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
programs and applications. Valid driver’s license and reliable
transportation to attend meetings and home visits. Ability to meet
all job responsibilities and expectations. Commitment to
maintaining person-centered practices and supporting the dignity
and autonomy of individuals served. Education and Experience:
Candidates must meet one of the following: · Master’s Degree from
an accredited program with 1 year of work experience directly
supporting individuals with intellectual disability or autism. ·
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited program with 2 years of work
experience directly supporting individuals with intellectual
disability or autism. · Associate Degree from an accredited program
with 4 years of work experience directly supporting individuals
with intellectual disability or autism. · High School Diploma or
GED with 6 years of work experience directly supporting individuals
with intellectual disability or autism. About Company: Apis
