Job Description Our client, a leading healthcare provider
dedicated to delivering compassionate inpatient care, is hiring a
weekend Nocturnist, Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician,
Palliative Care Hospitalist . As a vital member of the nighttime
hospital medicine team, the Nocturnist will oversee adult inpatient
care during overnight shifts, ensuring high-quality, efficient, and
safe patient management. This role offers an opportunity to work in

Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive inpatient medical care for
adult patients during overnight shifts, including new admissions,
ongoing management, and cross-cover. Evaluate and triage emergency
department admissions, determine appropriate dispositions, and
facilitate seamless handoffs to day teams. Manage acute changes in
patient conditions, perform procedures within scope, and escalate
to specialists when necessary. Collaborate with nursing, case
management, social work, and consulting services to support safe
patient care and effective discharge planning. Complete all
documentation, orders, and discharge summaries in accordance with
hospital policies and regulatory standards. Participate in
overnight call coverage, quality improvement projects, and peer
review processes. Communicate clearly with patients and families
about overnight care plans and goals of care. Respond promptly to
rapid response team calls and assist during code situations.
Requirements: MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine, Family
Medicine, Palliative Care or equivalent; hospitalist or nocturnist
experience preferred. Valid state medical license or the ability to
obtain one, along with current DEA registration. Current ACLS
certification; BLS required. Proven experience managing inpatient
issues, hospital admissions, and multidisciplinary communication.
Strong clinical judgment, decision-making, documentation, and time
management skills suitable for overnight work. Some of the
