Middlesex OB&GYN Associates, of Physicians for Women's Health, is seeking a full-time Physician to support our OB/GYN practice. Current Provider staffing within the practice includes 5 MDs, 1 FNP, 1 WHNP, and 1 PMHNP. Obstetricians take equal call and service patients in two office locations: Middletown, CT and Essex, CT. Things to know: Shared Call (1:5) with Home Call Allowed Approximately 300-350 deliveries a year Partnership Track with Zero ($0) Buy-In Community-based Hospital in College Town New 11,000 sq ft Office Space On-site Surgery Suite with Anesthesia Option In Office Nitrous Setup for Procedures (LEEPS, IUDs, Biopsies, etc.) In House Ultrasound with 3 machines and 2 US Technicians (AIUM Accredited) On-Site Mammography and Breast Ultrasound On-Site Mental Health Practitioner Exclusively for Practice Patients Private Provider Offices Billing Staff On Site 13 month Scheduling Benefits/401K Easy Access to New York, Boston, Rhode Island Essential duties and responsibilities: Perform comprehensive physical examination, and compile patient medical data including health history and results of physical examination. Orders or performs therapeutic procedures such as injections, immunizations, and basic wound care. Instructs and counsels patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens, normal growth and development, family planning, emotional problems of daily living, and health maintenance. Develops and implements patient management plans, follows hospitalized patients as appropriate, records progress notes, and assists in provision of continuity of care. Gain competence in Electronic Medical Record System. Billing submission at time of office visit. Skills/qualifications: Experience in OB/GYN or Women's Health MD or DO from accredited medical school Board certified or board eligible Connecticut License or able to obtain Federal and State controlled substance licenses Eligible for hospital privileges Effective communication (verbal and written), listening, and customer service skills Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply to learn more about all the position has to offer!
