Job Description:

*Recruitment Associate*NJCIE is currently utilizing a hybrid schedule with 2-3 days a week in the office and the remainder performed remotely.*Overview*Performs pre-employment and new hire administrative functions to ensure appropriate and timely pre-hire onboarding of new employees from offer accepted to first day of employment. Performs initial interviews with candidates, and ensures all required employment related documents are completed and filed. Provides potential applicants with information regarding recruitment and hiring practices, policies and processes. Works under moderate supervision.*Responsibilities*Receives identified candidate resumes, arranges interviews, and conducts initial interviews.* Performs pre-employment and new hire administrative functions to ensure complete pre-boarding of new employees. Obtains and reviews all required pre-employment documents for accuracy, completeness and files documents, as directed.* Ensures new hires understand pre-employment medical appointment process as well as required documentation. Tracks new hires' paperwork through completion. Communicates with administration when candidate is cleared to start and/or circumstances that require immediate attention.* Coordinates NJ DOE background fingerprint checks for candidates to ensure the hiring process is completed in an appropriate period of time.* Identifies and communicates discrepancies on job application and other pre-employment documents and facilitates resolution. Works with administration to resolve complex problems.* Follows-up with candidates to obtain missing information and keeps administration informed of problems and/or anticipated delays.* Maintains confidential and sensitive information and materials; communicates HR related information and discerns when to escalate issues to higher levels.* Prepares materials for new hire orientation. Manages first day of orientation; signs-in and distributes materials to new hires.* Responds to telephone, e-mail and in-person inquiries.* Takes and/or ensures new and replacement photo ID cards are provided.* Verifies license information for licensed professional license, license infraction and certifications via associated agency.* Provides candidates with offer and on-boarding meeting information. Ensures originals are provided to applicant and copies are placed in the appropriate new hire file.* Keeps informed of latest issues and trends in recruitment* Participates in special projects and performs other duties, as assigned.*Qualifications**Education: * Associates degree or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Social Sciences or a related field preferred.*Experience: * Minimum two years of broad-based experience in a Human Resource support or processing position OR internship experience in Human Resources with a Bachelor's degree required. Basic understanding of the policies and procedures of at least two of the following disciplines preferred: benefits, recruitment. Strong data entry and personal computer skills (Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, etc.) and the ability to multitask between various HR systems required. Demonstrated strong attention to detail and time management skills required. Effective oral, written and presentation skills required. Exceptional communication and organizational skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-pace environment required.
