Job Description:

The MuleSoft Developer will work with a team of engineering professionals responsible for the building of re-usable, scalable APIs for consumption across multiple systems in the Bank. Works closely with Architects, end-users and product owners to jointly define the design and the engineering implementation. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Oversees the quality of the code engineered by the team. Coach, mentor and support team members to increase the quality of the build and the velocity of the team. Spec, design, develop and deploy System, Process and Experience layer APIs and integrations based on architectural design documentation, enterprise guardrails and business requirements. Ensure the team adheres to good coding practices including code coverage and maintenance of a knowledge repository of software design documentation. Maintain existing APIs and integration points within the MuleSoft platform. Test, debug and resolve issues as they arise during all parts of the development lifecycle. Design best practices, standards, and procedures as they pertain to the MuleSoft platform, enforcing adherence across the team. Maintain clear and concise documentation on all APIs being developed to promote re-use. Maintain a deep understanding of the MuleSoft platform including Mule Runtime, available connectors, Design Center and API Management. Keep the team informed and enthused about advances in technology pertaining to MuleSoft and integration in general. Required Skills: Excellent oral and verbal communication skills. Experience in a team lead position, used to getting the best out of other engineers. Experienced in mentoring fellow team members and supporting them through their technical development. Demonstrated interpersonal and organizational abilities. Strong experience with designing API specs using RAML, Swagger, OpenAPI or other API modeling language. A solid understanding of all aspects of the API development lifecycle from design build to governance management as they pertain to the MuleSoft platform. Expertise in several areas including cloud computing, API integration, cloud messaging and scalable distributed systems. Experience using SOAP and REST protocols is a must. Strong Java and related programming experience design patterns, scripting, DevOps and CICD etc. Experience securing and managing APIs and have a thorough understanding of authentication mechanisms. Ability to multi-task and be able to handle projects throughout the entire project life cycle. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team and must be comfortable working with engineers to assure the quality of the build. Ability to understand business requirements and the definition of a good implementation. Required Experience: High School Diploma/GED, a minimum 3 years of experience developing in the MuleSoft Anypoint platform and minimum of 5 years of experience in Java development and concepts. MuleSoft Certified Developer. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Programming Programming Languages: Java, REST, SOAP, XML, XSLT, JSON, RAML Databases: MS SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle Software Suites: Anypoint Studio/Eclipse, GIT, Maven
