Job Description Job Description Job Summary: The Dispatch
Supervisor serves as a leader and provides guidance to delivery
teams and independent contractors. Responsible for directing daily
activities of the delivery teams and independent contractors
including labor, scheduling, and supervision of day-to-day
operations. Oversees and guides dispatchers following set standards
and quality guidelines for deliveries. Assists and provides
guidance for different dispatch duties as needed. Key
Responsibilities: Works alongside Customer Service and the Final
Mile Manager to ensure customer satisfaction and on-time deliveries
Keeps all parties informed of scheduling or delivery issues,
identifying and implementing solutions Assigns drivers and vehicles
to load trucks for assigned destinations Oversees delivery teams
and independent contractors of proper actions regarding customer,
logistics or other problems that could affect scheduled deliveries
Monitors exceptions not limited to late departures or arrivals,
breakdowns, in-home service time, NAH, go backs, accidents, product
or in-home damages, delivery team illness or injury, HOS, unplanned
billing, trends. Tracks driver assignments and other shipping data
in a computer database Organizes and files Proof of Deliveries
(PODs) and driver's documentation as needed Sends Proof of Delivery
(POD) coversheets to finance department to review driver manifests
Monitors inbound/outbound emails as well as attached Proof of
Deliveries (PODs) Performs other related duties as required and
assigned Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent required
1-3 years relevant logistics/dispatch experience collectively
considered Previous knowledge of relevant policies, practices and
procedures and requirements/standards Ability to establish and
maintain effective relationships with employees, contractors,
supervisors and the public requiring courtesy, discretion and
independent judgment. Excellent organizational, leadership,
communication, and reporting skills Knowledge of MS Office and
other operational or client systems Ability to safeguard customers'
personal information. Detail-oriented, analytical problem-solver
and ability to multi-task in a demanding environment,
high-pressure, high-volume environment Job Type: Full-time
