Job Description:

The Project Controller will work directly with the Director of Administrative Services, Project Management Office and Finance in order create and maintain Program and Project financials, progress against work schedules and develop business relationships throughout the Valley footprint.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:* Manage all financial/budget aspects of Programs and Projects within the PMO. Includes all project financial reporting of both OpEx and CapEx spend, internal and external headcount reporting, variance to plan analysis with accompanying commentary and various project KPI's and metrics.* Transform the existing project accounting reporting structure and create a dynamic model that provides, data analysis, data visualization and business context for all project financials. This includes working with the PMO to establish an overall project structure for the FSOM and the development of project dashboards that align with Sr. management expectations.* Create dashboard reporting that will provide business data analysis for all programs and projects, various reporting requests, and visualization.* Lead the development of the project financials framework to ensure accurate and timely accounting of all Project/program related spend.* Work closely with project stakeholders and finance to develop cost allocation methodologies.* Collaborate across all levels of Valley Bank to understand data and reporting needs and propose BI, data and reporting services and solutions around cost optimization.* Create and maintain reports in Apptio, as well as Excel to analyze the financial performance of projects and programs sharing results with key project stakeholders, then communicate findings, issues, and overall value of Technology to senior management.* Support the PMO and the Director of Admin Services in the Planning, Forecasting, Business Case Development and Cost Transparency to help optimize running the business and transformative initiatives.* Partner with Sr. Leadership to provide continuous updates of project status and communicate any quantify and qualify significant deviations.* Perform ad-hoc financial analysis on the contract as requested by PMO and others.
