Now's the time to join the Kelly-- Professional & Industrial team as our construction industry client is looking for an 2nd Shift Flex Operator--for their warehouse in Wayne, NJ.--And a clean, safe work environment is just the beginning.--And a clean, safe work environment is just the beginning.This is a Contract position for about 6-months (through to mid- September 2021) and eligible for Kelly Services Contractor perks such as Medical, Dental, Vision coverage through the ACA compliant healthcare plan.--Pay rate:--16-17.00--per hour;--projected start date is March 29th.--Position will be on site and the contract is through mid-September 2021.Schedule: This is a full-time (40-hours a week average), 2nd--shift. Hours are Monday-Friday from 3:00pm-11:30pm--(1/2-hour lunch)Job duties include:Scope: Act in the capacity of a flexible production operator within the Film Conversion/Packaging/Slitting, C-Treatment, Zitex and Extrusion Departments. Assume material handling responsibilities to help stage materials within the various Films Departments. Operator would be responsible to perform necessary work order and inventory transactions using the software control systems such as Eagle (via iPad), Factivity (MES) and QAD (ERP). The responsibilities of this position may change frequently thru the week in order to meet production goals.This position may also require work-time on weekends or other shiftsResponsibilities:--- Perform job duties within Extrusion, Film Packaging, Surface Treatment and Zitex departments to meet on-time production schedule and customer order shipment goals.--- Communicate and cooperate with fellow employees to maintain quality, operational efficiency, and safe workplace. Exhibits safety awareness and demonstrates safe work practices.--- Daily duties are subject to change based on department needs and/or as directed by the area supervisor.--- Perform setup, in-process, and final inspection as required by SOPs and work instructions. Visually observe, troubleshoot, and report non-conformance condition (either product or process).--- Maintain accurate inventory of materials used and finish product produced by accurately completing log book information, production paperwork, and Factivity MES, as required.--- Slit and/or rewind films or Handle Zitex materials according to SOPs, work instructions, work order requests, and/or special instructions from supervisor. Stage materials to the next operation when required.--- Perform duties required to surface treat ("C-Treat") film materials ---Perform duties required to skive, stretch and package Zitex products which may include billet making--- Perform duties required to properly package film orders for shipment.--- Operator would assist fellow operators when needed and/or directed by supervisor.--- May be tasked as the 5S Team leader to oversee Films area in the 5S process--- This position would also include providing training for new or transferred employees under the direction of the area supervisor and/or engineer.Work with hand tools in a safe and efficient manner (complying with 5S/housekeeping standards)Job requirements:High School Diploma (or GED) is requiredAbility to frequently bend, kneel, reach, and sit or stand for long periods of timeAbility to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed; Must be able to--wear a mask during shiftPrevious experience in a manufacturing setting (at least 5 years of production operation experience)APPLY TODAY FOR IMMEDIATE CONSIDERATION!--If interested in this position, please apply online through Indeed.com, CareerBuilder, or the Kelly Career Network (KCNi).
