Job Overview:

A Bloomingdale's Customer Service Expediters primary role is to quickly respond to the needs of the in-store customer to make the experience easy. The Expediter is welcoming, friendly, and gracious, engaged, and always places the needs of the customer first. When not with customers, the Expediter is expected to maintain store presentation and complete tasks that support the omni-channel customer experience. The Customer Service Expediter is required to move between these different tasks with flexibility as directed by their People Leader and based on the needs of the business.

Essential Functions:

  • Create an in-store easy, seamless and fun experience allowing you to foster and cultivate customer relationships
  • Embrace and be proficient with technology
  • Participate in the merchandising and operational requirements of the role

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to read and interpret instructional documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays

Physical Requirements:

  • Position requires prolonged periods of standing/walking around store or department
  • May involve reaching, crouching, kneeling, stooping and color vision
  • Frequent use of computers and other technology, necessary to perform job functions, including handheld equipment, cash register and ability to process register transactions
  • Frequently lift/move up to 25lbs
