TITLE: DIRECTOR OF FACILITIES MANAGEMENT
The Facilities Manager shall be a college graduate or
demonstrate equivalent experience in administration and management
of a large building and grounds operation within an educational
The applicant must be certified under the New Jersey Educational
Facility Management Program. The applicant shall have a minimum of
five years experience in the maintanence of facilities, custodial
grounds keeping and construction activities, preferably in a
CUSTODIAL / MAINTENANCE / GROUNDS
- Coordinates and inspects the maintenance, improvement and
renovation work performed by outside contractors verifying the
terms of all such contracts have been fulfilled prior to
authorizing final payment.
JOB PERFORMANCE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for all aspects of a Division or Facilities
Management inclusive of Day to Day Operations: maintenance,
custodial and groundskeeping for a 1st and 2nd shift unionized
staff for a large school district.
- Detailed knowledge and experience in project management
including scheduling, developing scope of work, business, financial
and accounting procedures including budgeting, purchasing, cost
estimating, cost analysis, contracting
procurement, and project management tools and techniques.
