Passaic County CASA for Children mobilizes community volunteers to serve as advocates for abused and neglected children in foster care. The organization strives to have an advocate for every child and the opportunity to thrive. This is a full time position, which requires flexibility in scheduling.A successful candidate will have:Passion for working with nonprofits and working with volunteersStrong graphic design, social media and technology skillsOutstanding written and verbal skillsProven experience in juggling multiple tasks and prioritizing deadlinesConfidence, flexibility, and organization skills experience with Google AdWords, Facebook advertising, and HootSuite (strongly preferred).*Responsibilities and Duties*Responsible for creation and distribution of marketing materials (annual report, social media content, blog content, event flyers, direct mail pieces, ad journals)Actively recruits potential volunteers via social media, written press releases, public relations, print media and electronic outreachIndividual donor prospect research, followup via written thank you letters and database tracking.Special event assistance as needed.*Qualifications and Skills*Undergraduate degree or commensurate education and work experience combination will be considered in lieu of an undergraduate degree 2-3 years of experience in sales, marketing or communications. Creative thinker with innovative recruitment ideas and a strong ability to multi-task. Must have familiarity with nonprofit structures and the ability to work evenings and evenings occasionally for special events.
