Job Description Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.The Supply Chain Planner (SCP) is the focal point for all supply chain activities.The planner develops and implements long-term supply chain strategies and networks that address capacity issues, production location decisions, etc. in support of business growth and sustainment. The planner supports execution of programs and coordination of new program / product launches.SCP monitors key performance indicators, analyzes performance data, and coordinates cross-functional work teams to increase effectiveness of supply chain initiatives.The Supply Chain Planner optimizes how supply chain management interfaces with manufacturing systems.SCP will plan, prepare, issue and control material requirements in conjunction with the production schedule.Planner will support risk management activities impacting the value chain working with cross-functional teams.The planner ensures that shipments are accomplished to maintain contract/internal delivery commitments. SCP will utilize system and process tools to achieve program / functional goals.As a senior planner, this position requires that the individual possess a strong understanding of procurement and planning process steps; the individual must be capable of troubleshooting process failures to ensure success for the program.Candidate will be expected to train and mentor junior level supply chain team members. This position relies on experience and judgment to organize, plan, and accomplish department objectives with a wide degree of creativity, continuous improvement approach, and latitude expected to fulfill a variety of duties.Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship statusRequired Education, Experience, & Skills Bachelor's Degree and 5 years work experience or equivalent experiencePlanning experience in a large multifaceted electronic manufacturing environmentFamiliarity with defense aerospace industry & regulationsSignificant ERP System Experience (Oracle, SAP, Other), inclusive of shop floor control systemsKnowledge of Manufacturing processesSales & Operations Experience / knowledgeInventory / stockroom managementProject Management experienceAbility to verbally and accurately report production status to program team or factory teamStrong analytical and problem solving skillsCreate presentation materials and give presentations to leadership team, production team, and customersMicrosoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Power Point)Ability to analyze, react, and train on exceptions in MRP, especially around Bills of Material, Material Planning, Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders and ECOsPreferred Education, Experience, & Skills Strong sense of urgency and follow-throughMicrosoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Power Point)Higher level education completed or in processAbout BAE Systems Electronic Systems BAE Systems, Inc. is the U.S. subsidiary of BAE Systems plc, an international defense, aerospace and security company which delivers a full range of products and services for air, land and naval forces, as well as advanced electronics, security, information technology solutions and customer support services.
