Description:Title: Community Engagement and Education
Coordinator Reports to: Director of Marketing, Data Management and
Social Programs Location: Remote/Community-Based (must be able to
report to MHA offices and Orange County community events as needed)
Job Objectives: Manage MHA outreach at community events and
trainings. Manage MHA's social media platforms. Manage MHA internal
training and education. Provide leadership for organizing and
planning staff events. Perform duties while actively promoting an
environment consistent with MHA's Cultural Equity Policy and
WELCOME Orange.Direct supervision of stated positions and oversight
of stated programs are periodically re-evaluted and may change
subject to the discretion of Executive Director. Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver educational workshops and public awareness
programs for MHA and the community. Promote services on MHA's
Social Media accounts including but not limited to: Facebook,
Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram. Represent MHA at Health and Human
Service Fairs, community events and meetings. Provide leadership
for the agency event planning for events such as Teambuilding and
Holiday Party in collaboration with staff feedback and
collaboration. Serve as designated agency liaison for the New York
State School Mental Health Training Resource Center through MHANYS
(Mental Health Associating in NY State). Provide educational
presentations to the community on varied topics. Coordinate and
provide regularly scheduled orientation trainings for new
employees, volunteers/interns and new board members, and routinely
review and update orientation curriculum as needed. Oversee the
development and delivery of educational workshops and public
awareness programs for MHA and the community. Coordinates MHA's
Volunteer/Intern Program and maintains policies and procedures.
Develop and format MHA's Annual Meeting Journal. Develop MHA's
Quarterly Newsletter. Assist with developing program informational
brochures and PowerPoint presentations as needed. Conduct relevant
staff training and engage staff in available staff development
opportunities. Establish and maintain linkages with appropriate
community agencies and service providers. Ensure appropriate
documentation, security and confidentiality are maintained in
compliance with all applicable requirements and laws.Other Duties:
Participate in agency committees as needed. Duties outlined above

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in related field with 2 years of
outreach, social media and community engagement experience
required. 2 years of experience working with individuals with a
mental illness or seriously emotionally disturbed. Grant writing
experience a plus. Effective written and oral communication skills.
Must be organized, self-motivated and can coordinate multiple tasks
simultaneously. Ability to exercise sound judgment under crisis
situations and to abide by regulations regarding confidentiality.
Valid NYS Driver's License and ability to drive with current
driving record acceptable for agency insurance coverage. Must be
clear and maintain an acceptable record under the Medicaid Fraud &
Abuse clearance process. Mental Health First Aid Trainer (MHFA),
Question, Persuade, Refer Trainer (QPR) certifications preferred.
Bi-lingual in Spanish and English preferred. Terms of
Employment/Benefits: Non-Exempt Forty (40) hours per week. Mental
