Job Description:

Eastern Alloys, Inc., a foundry for zinc alloys since 1965, is currently seeking a full-time Plant Supervisor to join our team in Maybrook, NY. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented person to join a fast-paced team in a casual environment. Supervisory Responsibilities:Overseeing daily operations of metal casting facilitiesManaging personnelEnsuring safety protocols are enforced. Coordinating production schedulesMaintaining quality controlAssessing and overseeing furnace, production equipment & ladle repairsMonitoring performance of teamCarrying out risk assessments and completing standard operating proceduresReport delays and unplanned downtime to senior management.Assisting with production as necessaryEnsuring hygiene, health, and safety regulations are observed by staff.Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations. Oversees production operations on assigned shift.Maintains knowledge of processes and equipment.Ensures products are identified, weighed, and inventoried correctly.Troubleshoots production equipment and production related problems.Adequately complete and file required documents.Perform other related duties as assigned.Ensure facility meets all regulatory requirements. Required Skills/Abilities: Experienced in smelting or foundry environment, possess the ability to quickly learn production operations and machinery.Excellent supervisory and leadership skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate.Proficient with Microsoft Office/Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to comprehend policies and procedures.Experienced in Team development.Willingness to work with and alongside of the Quality Department. Education and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent required.Lean PrinciplesFamiliarity with ISO 9001 StandardsMinimum of 2 years forklift operation. Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand for long periods of time.Must be able to lift 25 - 50 pounds.Must be able to work directly on the shop floor for long periods of time.Ability to operate hand & power tools, including hoist, torches and grinders.Compensation details: 29-36 Hourly WagePI297482fb7527-25660-34573881
