Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) will be responsible for
evaluating, diagnosing, and treating residents with communication,
cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. The ideal
candidate is a compassionate, detail-oriented professional who
thrives in a multidisciplinary setting.Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment & Evaluation:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' communication,
language, and swallowing abilities.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored
to each patient's needs.
- Treatment & Therapy:
- Provide evidence-based therapy services to improve or restore
communication and swallowing functions.
- Monitor and document patient progress, modifying treatment
plans as necessary.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with an interdisciplinary team including nurses,
occupational therapists, and physicians to ensure holistic patient
care.
- Educate staff, patients, and families on strategies to support
communication and swallowing rehabilitation.
- Compliance & Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with facility policies
and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure adherence to state and federal guidelines for patient
care.Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited
program.
- Current state licensure to practice as a Speech-Language
Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is
preferred.
- Experience in a skilled nursing facility, rehabilitation
center, or related healthcare setting is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational
